Application Scenarios
Airproz swimming pool heat pumps are trusted by project buyers and distributors across three core application areas:
Hotels, Resorts & Country Clubs
Commercial pool heat pumps are a key energy-saving solution for hotel and resort operators who need to maintain precise pool temperatures year-round while controlling operating costs. Our titanium heat exchangers ensure long-term corrosion resistance in the demanding chemical environment of commercial pools, reducing maintenance costs and extending equipment lifespan. Suitable for indoor and outdoor pools, spa pools and wellness facilities.

Public Aquatic Centres & Sports Facilities
Public swimming pools, sports centres and competitive aquatic facilities require consistent water temperature control across large pool volumes. Our 30kW commercial models and multi-unit cascade configurations are designed for high-capacity installations where reliable performance and low operating costs are critical requirements for facility operators and procurement teams.

Residential & Private Pools
Our residential range (5kW to 16kW) is designed for private outdoor and indoor pools at homes, villas and holiday properties. Compact, quiet and easy to install, our residential pool heat pumps are the preferred choice for pool equipment distributors and installers supplying the premium residential market across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australia and Europe.

Why Titanium Heat Exchanger Matters
The heat exchanger is the most critical component in a pool heat pump. Standard copper heat exchangers corrode rapidly when exposed to chlorinated or saline pool water, leading to premature failure and costly replacements. All Airproz pool heat pumps use full titanium heat exchangers as standard — the industry benchmark for commercial pool applications — providing:
- Complete corrosion resistance in chlorinated and saltwater pools
- 10+ years of reliable operation with minimal maintenance
- No degradation from pH fluctuations or chemical treatments
- Lower total cost of ownership compared to copper alternatives

Frequently Asked Questions
How does a swimming pool heat pump work?
A pool heat pump works by extracting heat energy from the ambient air and transferring it into the pool water via a heat exchanger. Because it moves heat rather than generating it, a pool heat pump delivers 5–6 units of heat energy for every 1 unit of electricity consumed — making it far more efficient than gas or electric pool heaters. Read more: How Much Electricity Does a Pool Heater Use?
Why is a titanium heat exchanger important for pool heat pumps?
Pool water contains chlorine, salt and other chemicals that rapidly corrode standard copper heat exchangers, leading to leaks and early failure. Titanium is completely resistant to pool water chemistry, making it the only suitable material for long-term commercial and residential pool heat pump installations. All Airproz pool heat pumps include full titanium heat exchangers as standard.
What size pool heat pump do I need?
As a general guide, pool heat pump capacity should be sized at approximately 1kW per 10m³ of pool water volume for outdoor pools in warm climates. Indoor pools, cold-climate installations and pools with high heat loss (large surface area, no cover) require additional capacity. Contact our technical team for a project-specific sizing recommendation.
What is the difference between inverter and on/off pool heat pumps?
An inverter pool heat pump uses a variable-speed compressor that modulates its output to match the pool’s heating demand — delivering higher energy efficiency, quieter operation and more precise temperature control. An on/off model operates at fixed capacity and switches on and off to maintain temperature. Inverter models are recommended for commercial installations and premium residential pools where energy cost and noise levels are priorities.
Do you offer OEM and private label pool heat pumps?
Yes. We support full OEM and private label programmes for pool equipment brands and distributors. Your brand can be applied to the unit, packaging and all documentation. CE declarations can be issued under your brand name. Contact our OEM team to discuss your market, volume and customisation requirements.
